Covid-19 Confidence measures

Flexible Terms 2021

For 2021, the main difference for our guests and us is that from an insurance perspective, Covid-19 is now a known insurance risk. Hence, our standard terms and conditions have been updated in February 2021 to reflect this change in line with the guidance from the Professional Association of Self-Caterers (PASC). The key points are:

* Deposit is £200 per week or part week.

* Final balance is normally 8 weeks before arrival date for arrivals in 2022 and beyond, For 2021, the final balance is due just 2 weeks before arrival. Hence the date for the final balance payment on the reservation confirmation will be later than on the online booking system for guests arriving in 2021.

* If there is a government ruling that means you cannot travel for the dates of your holiday eg lockdown or tiering, or we are not allowed to open, then we will refund all money in total or you can move your reservation, along with all money paid, to a future date, subject to availability at the rate that is prevalent for the new date. The flexibility and choice is there for you.

* If you are required to self-isolate, quarantine, become ill and all other reasons etc, then you must claim on your own travel insurance. Hence it is essential to have travel insurance, even for travel within the UK. PASC have provided examples of insurance companies who provide this cover, for information only, not as recommendations. See the detail son our terms and conditions.

Due to the three lockdowns and tiering we are almost fully booked for 2021 and with lots of bookings in advance for 2022 and 2023 as many guests have preferred to postpone rather than cancel. As a small family run business, this has helped us enormously too, for which we are extremely grateful.
