An absolute gem of a cottage in beautiful peaceful surroundings. The Byre is a wonderful haven away from the humdrum of everyday life. Attention to detail is second to none. All the awards are very well deserved. We have had a wonderful short break and will look to return asap. Thank you xx

Great week - just what we needed after a busy Christmas. Excellent cottage with everything anyone could need - and more! Loved the shower!! Great location and many excellent walks nearby. Excellent cottage - extremely high standard. Very tastefully decorated for Christmas. Diane & Andrew are outstanding hosts. Thank you Diane for chauffeuring us to the Wensleydale Heifer on New Years Eve. Hope to return later in the year.
Not sure if I have enough space - It's the perfect place to catch your breath after a busy year! It's the perfect place for anytime of the year and for any reason. Fabulous walks, awesome scenery and stunning accommodation. The owners are the most pleasant & helpful people and deserve every bit of success after their continued hard work. What can we say - another fabulous stay at The Byre - Christmas just wouldn't be the same without it!! The cottage as always looked stunning and your hospitality the best ever. Visit number 7 to The Byre and it just gets better and better, and our 5th visit to 'Cottage in the Dales' in 2019. Everyone so special! Despite lots of rain and mist for the first 5 days, we've had a wonderful time and even got to Castle Howard this visit. Thank you Diane for the tip - it was a delight! The Dales looked beautiful. It's going to be so hard to leave but we are already looking forward to at least 4 visits in 2020! Diane & Andrew - thank you both so very much! xxxx
