Integrated Accessible Facilities
The Dairy has a great number of facilities already integrated into the cottage - some of which are obvious to see, but many are there only when you need them. Take a look at the photos below and then click on the photos to see the videos for the best two examples :

The wet room at The Dairy can be provided with the integrated facilities - shower seat, grab rails - and then hey presto, if you don't need them they can be removed, so that only 'blanks' are on the wall. In the kitchen, as with any fitted kitchen, the cupboards under the sink and hob appear as they would for anyone to use. But they can be removed from the cottage totally so that wheelchair uses can easily use these facilities. Just like magic! The Dairy - Accessible private patio, direct from the lounge
The private patio at The Dairy is fully accessible from the lounge, where our guests can enjoy the views across the large garden and Bishopdale beyond. Guests can continue from the patio, onto the courtyard and across the level pathway throughout the large garden.

- Socket at the front of the kitchen units
- Ample cupboard space for kitchen crockery/glassware/cutlery at accessible level
Bathroom
- Quality chrome support bars in wet room (that are removable)
- Integrated shower seat in wet room
- Hand-held power shower in wet room
- High and low level wall recesses for storing personal shower items
- Remote control start/stop of wet room shower
- Controllable temperature of shower with visual identification (red/blue)
Bedroom
- Accessible space to side of single or super king bed
- Accessible space under integrated dressing table
- Pull-down wardrobe hanging space
- Pull-out wardrobe drawers
Hallway
- Pull-down coat hanging space in cupboard
- Pull-out drawers in cupboard
Throughout
- All sockets/switches/handles at accessible level
- Visual/hearing smoke/fire/carbon monoxide alarms
