The cottage is beautiful and the attention to detail is second to none. We came for the dark skies and although we only had one night it didn't disappoint! We saw the Milky Way for the first time. Diane's suggestions on places to go were spot on. We had a fantastic weekend. This is an astrophotographer's paradise. We can't wait to return! Thank you x

What a lovely cottage containing everything you could possibly need. Great location, we were very lucky with the weather and managed to some spectacular skies, with and without the telescope. Diane & Andrew should be very proud. You can see how much care has gone into the renovation. We will definitely return. Thank you very much.

Beautiful luxury cottage! We have stayed in a lot of cottages, usually in the Peak District, but because we wanted to stay somewhere special for our silver wedding anniversary, we chose The Byre and we are so pleased we did. This the best cottage we have stayed in.

Peaceful, warm and comfortable. Wonderful local walking. Loads of history & time to 'stand and stare'. Kindness and friendliness from Diane and Andrew - even to meeting us with umbrellas when we arrived in the rain. Thank you for a lovely 'home' to return to each day.

Another enjoyable stay at The Byre - a luxurious and well thought out cottage in a beautiful location. We thought that 'Scarecrows' at Kettlewell were fantastic, such a lot of thought and work had done into the village display! Thank you Diane & Andrew for such a warm welcome! Kiplin Hall, near Catterick, is well worth a visit. Interesting house, good walks & beautiful gardens.
