An enjoyable week in a very comfortable cottage. Diane and Andrew are very welcoming and their dining recommendations are excellent. We particularly enjoyed a superb meal at the Wensleydale Heifer Inn. We would also recommend a day at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal Water Garden.
Despite the end of a heatwave, an amazing few days walking in such a special place. What you say about Diane and Andrew that has not been said before!! You can fully understand why The Byre received a national winner award from Visit England. You never felt you are in a 'holiday' cottage. Perfect. Shame we had to go home. Our second stay here. We have had a wonderful week, so many places to visit. We felt very welcome, more like friends than guests. Ate in the Street Head Inn - very good food, certainly didn't come out there hurry. More place to visit when we hopefully return next year.

Had a lovely week despite some rain. The Dales Museum at Hawes worth a visit. Visited Aysgarth Falls, impressive. Bolton Castle a good outing as well. Second visit here. Lovely relaxing cottage, looks and feels luxurious. Thanks must go to Diane and Andrew.
Thank you Diane and Andrew for making us so welcome at your luxurious cottage. We have thoroughly enjoyed a full week walking and sight-seeing in glorious scenery and (on the whole!) glorious weather. We enjoyed your amazing library, the bird song, the lovely garden, relaxing in the evening, the shopping and the wine. With all good wishes for future ventures. Maker - the flower meadows are a feast for the eyes - really lift the spirits & walk on to Keld. Aysgarth Rock Garden - a relet retreat - amazing creation. Not what you might expect! Knitters beware! Longwood Sheep Shop off Leyburn Market Square. Well worth a visit. Mainly luxurious soft wool from Wensleydale sheep.
