Best holiday cottage we've ever stayed in! Beautifully appointed. Enjoyed using the telescope on our one clear night. Diane and Andrew (and even the builders) have been super friendly and helpful; local businesses and Yorkshire folk have also been warm and welcoming, despite us being Lancastrians :)

Such a beautiful place to spend New Year. Everything needed during our stay was catered for in the cottage and made us feel right at home. Clear skies and sun at this time of year meant plenty of sightseeing. Recommend using the books in the cottage to find the perfect route! Thanks for a great time.

Diane and Andrew are such warm and hospitable people, and go out of their way to make your stay a great one. Thank you for a special Christmas here - our first one as retirees!
We don't want to go home! The Byre is simply fantastic! There are not enough superlatives to describe the quality, elegance and sheer delight of this wonderful cottage. Hosts Diane & Andrew are superb. Nothing is too much trouble, so attentive in every way. Puts other so called 5 star establishments to shame. We will definitely be back!

We have been in some lovely cottages over the years, but The Byre is definitely the best we have stayed in. Very tastefully decorated and everything is of the highest quality. Walking in the door of The Byre for our second stay immediately felt like home. The warmth of the fire, already lit, coupled with the warmth of Diane & Andrew's hospitality made for another magical visit. See you again next year!
