Guest Book - The Byre
Our 9th visit to The Byre & a complete delight as always! Thank you Diane & Andrew for your amazing hospitality, gorgeous cottage and all the little extras that are waiting for us when we arrive. You even arranged for wall to wall sunshine - something we are definitely not used to in the Dales. Can't wait to see you both again in the autumn and thank you, thank you yet again.
Another beautiful stay in this warm and comfortable cottage. We love how you constantly seek to continue to improve things for your guests so it is even better eg the new bathroom night light - very good, and second hand rail also very helpful.
Great to see Diane and Andrew again after meeting in Ulusaba last November. The Dales are different to South Africa! But very beautiful and a fabulous place. We absolutely loved this cottage, unfortunately it was only for a week. Thank you so much for the warm welcome and the excellent hospitality. We are looking forward to return.
Another wonderful stay at our second home. We did some of the same walks and regular stop at Campbell's in Leyburn, and then a little further afield with visits to the Minster in York, Castle Howard and a lovely lazy lunch at the Star Inn at Harome. Lovely setting and wonderful foods you would expect from a Michelin recommended establishment. More locally, for those of you who haven't experienced the sheepdog demos just outside Hawes - you must! A very enjoyable hour or so watching the dogs 'do their thing'. Thanks again to our wonderful hosts - Diane and Andrew. See you next year!
Yet again, a wonderful welcome and marvellous stay. We love our time here and always look forward to returning. It is difficult to express in words along, how amazing both of the cottages are, along with the gardens, the area and above all, the welcome of both Diane and Andrew. It has to be experienced. Highlights have been meals at the Wensleydale Heifer, the Sandpiper Inn, and for the more traditional pub meal, but nevertheless, fabulous & ambience, the Street Head Inn. The Himalayan Garden and Sculpture Park was well worth the visit, all of the seasonal rhododendrons were fully in flower, which set the scene wonderfully. Back next year!
