A truly wonderful experience. It lived up to its reputation and did not disappoint. Without doubt, I'll be back!

A first holiday as a family an a wonderful stay in the Dales. Blue skies (mostly!), roaring fires and the pure luxury of The Byre - we've been spoiled. Thank you Andy and Diane.

A much needed relaxing weekend in the Yorkshire Dales. Lovely to see the festive touches in this cosy cottage. We hope to return!

Our second stay at Cottage in the Dales - this time, The Byre, which we almost fell in love with. The cottage has so much character. The kitchen is very well equipped - we could prepare a lot of decent meals from the wonderful produce we retrieved from Mainsgill Farmshop and Campbell’s. Loved the Christmas decorations at Castle Howard, Afternoon Tea at Betty’s and the ‘Behind the Scenes’ Tour at Tennants. A treat at Sunday carvery lunch at the Street Head Inn and the fine dining at the Heifer. Already booked to return in 2026 and looking forward to coming back. Thank you Diane and Andrew for your wonderful hospitality - Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones.

We've had another wonderful trip to The Byre, which even Storm Bert couldn't spoil! The highlights have been the Christmas festivities at Tennants, RHS Harlow Carr, the Bowes Museum, the Green Howards Museum and the amazing Christmas festival at Harewood House. Leaving is going to be so difficult, but already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Diane and Andrew for thinking of everything.
