Guest Book - The Dairy

Another fabulous stay in this magical place. From the warm, wonderful welcome from Diane and Andrew, the delights of the n additions to the cottage, to the fabulous weather (sun, sun, more sun, and a snow blizzard!) The beauty of the Dales and stunning wildlife, our stay has been fabulous. We look forward to all of our future bookings. Thank you so much
Returning Guests from Somerset - March 2026

Once again a fantastic stay at the Cottage in the Dales - our first time in The Dairy, and a perfect base to catch up with friends and explore the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. Thank you Andrew and Diane for sharing your home with us and we hope you see you both soon.
Returning Guests from Edinburgh - March 2026

This is our fifth holiday at The Dairy. We visit to celebrate our anniversary. This year was really special as it was our Golden Wedding Anniversary. We have enjoyed lovely walks, meeting interesting people. We enjoy supporting local businesses. We visited Thorp Perrow Arboretum where the bird of prey displays were most interesting. Thank you Diane and Andrew so much for our welcome pack.
Returning Guests from Ormskirk, Lancashire - February 2026

Another very enjoyable stay in The Dairy. Weather not great, but it is February. Also enjoyed walking on the hills in the snow. Surroundings as lovely as ever. Thank you again Diane and Andrew.
Returning Guests from Ashbourne, Derbyshire - February 2026

Another great stay, even though the weather has not been up to much. We have enjoyed visiting our favourite places and stocking up on cheese, jam and sausages. It has been great returning to The Dairy and the huge log fire. We recommend the ‘Chippy Lunch’ at the Wensleydale Heifer, and also the Cafe and Cinema at The Station in Richmond. Thank you Diane and Andrew - everything spot on as usual. See you in July.
Returning Guests from Louth, Lincolnshire - February 2026

Thank you Diane and Andrew for your warm welcome. We have had a wonderful relaxing stay im this wonderful cottage. The weather has been wet and cold, but we have always found something to do. We always seem to book up in winter! So we have booked a week in August this year, so looking forward to that. Went to Fairfield Mill - a great place to visit on a wet day. Lovely coffee shop, on four levels, so lots to see. I bought some crafty things to take home and make up.
Returning Guests from Saltburn, North Yorkshire - February 2026

(poem) On route to The Dales our spirits lift, anticipating North Yorkshire's gifts. Beauty, peace and stunning vistas, and as always, a Happy Christmas. What a special time we've had. The weather, for a change, was never bad. Delighting in scenic walks galore, new places, old haunts, we did explore. Now it's time to say goodbye, until next Christmas, but time will fly! So as we take our leave of you, Thank you both for all you do.... with both health and happiness for 2026.

Another wonderful stay. The Dales weather was mixed with the delight of snow on the hills. But the Dales always looks spectacular. It has been lovely to start the Christmas festivities especially with the cottage looking so positive. Thank you Diane, Andrew and Rachel for keeping our special place in the Dales so perfect. See you again very soon. Merry Christmas.
Returning Guests from West Cranmore, Somerset - December 2025

We''ve really enjoyed an extended autumn break at The Dairy. A great time to visit. There was plenty to do, not withstanding the wet weather across the whole of the UK. We enjoyed days out at the races at Sedgefield and Wetherby and delicious food; Sunday lunch at the Garden Rooms at Tennants, a treat night out at the Wensleydale Heifer; and if you don't mind going a little further afield, a trip to the Crab and Lobster at Asenby near Thirsk. All 10/10. The Dairy, as usual, also 10/10. Thanks to everyone who contributes to making The Dairy our very favourite holiday destination at any time of the year.
Returning Guests from Upnor, Kent - November 2025

A lovely first visit to The Dairy. Best accessible accommodation we have had. Gave Vic more independence and freedom. He said "it's as good as The Ritz" and nothing too much trouble. The ramp to help transfer into bed was so helpful and he was able to have a shower, which he can't do at home. A lovely relaxing week and great to be back in lovely Yorkshire again. So lucky with the weather too. Hope to be back in 2027!
