A perfect stay at The Dairy. Everything is as it should be and its home from home appeal is pretty much unique. really good Sunday lunch at the pub in Redmire (highly recommend) and the cafe for light bites, cake, ice cream at Aysgarth Falls is a little gem. Only here for 3 nights but will return again … and again! Thanks Diane and Andrew - your hard work is much appreciated.
Thank you Diane and Andrew for your warm welcome. We came in the summer this time and enjoyed the lovely gardens. Diane gave us plenty of ideas for what I can do at home in my garden! Had a few visits to Tennants for coffee and they do the best Sunday lunch. Fab stay.
Our third stay with Diane and Andrew, but our first at The Dairy. We had high expectations but these were exceeded by the exceptional quality of the accommodation and the outdtanding gardens. It was our 40th wedding anniversary and we could not have chosen a better place to stay! Thank you so much.

We’ve had a fabulous holiday as usual. It definitely is home from home. The weather has been wonderful and thankfully a little bit cooler. Thank you Diane for telling us about Thornton Hall Gardens, They were absolutely beautiful. Also the ‘Bird App’ is wonderful. Thank you to both of you for everything you do for us.
Another wonderful stay at The Dairy. This is our 9th time and we were so blessed to have fabulous weather for the whole 10 days. We have really enjoyed sitting in the garden, which is a haven of peace and tranquility, along with the stunning views. Visited Himalayan Gardens again (booked the Tramper through the Outdoor Mobility Scheme). A wonderful place to visit. Also RHS Harlow Carr, Fountains Abbey & Newby Hall, all firm favourites. Thank you once again Diane and Andrew of making us so welcome and for always going the extra mile to ensure we have the best possible time. Looking forward already to our 10th visit! Thank you also for introducing us to the Merlin Bird ID. We have had great fun using it at all the places we have visited, as well as in the beautiful surroundings of the cottage.
This is our 10th yer (we think) and the cottage hasn’t changed, still the same high standard of care and cleanliness. Last year we had a wet time so we asked you to bring us some sunshine this year. We had more than our fair share. Booked for the next couple of years and we can’t wait to return. Thank you Diane and Andrew. Hope you are both better soon.
What a joy it has been to come back up here after a three year break. Wonderful break, fantastic facilities and we leave regretfully, what feels like a small corner of heaven. The bird app details in the folder, or ask Diane, has added a lovely new dimension to our walks.

Another enjoyable visit. As usual, Diane thinks of everything - much use of the jigsaw puzzle board when we stayed in on a rainy day. Looking forward to our stay in September.
Another enjoyable visit. Good visits to Kipling Hall, Newby Hall gardens and Raby Castle. Disappointed it was too wet (for us) to visit Thornton Hall Gardens. Enjoyed meals at Tennants Bistro and The Street Head Inn. Thank you Diane and Andrew.
Another wonderful stay at The Dairy and we lucked out, timing our stay withe the first heatwave of 2026. The Wensleydale Ice-Creamery is a great go-to place, especially in a heatwave. The gardens are looking as spectacular as always and everything at The Dairy spot-on. We really enjoyed an impromptu synthesiser demonstration from Andrew ahead of seeing Kraftwerk at the Stockton Globe. Also had a really good afternoon at the Friarage in Yard, watching the Fida Katillo Exhibition on screen. All great accessibility. Thank you Diane, Andrew, Rachel and all others for another wonderful holiday.

Fabulous! Would have written more, but we are leaving right now! Ingleborough caves - wheelchair accessible and more. Loved it all.
