Guest Book - The Dairy
Another wonderful visit. Many thanks to Diane, Andrew and Rachel. Garden looks superb. Very relaxing time.
Second visit. We had a lovely time despite the rain.
Another amazing stay at The Dairy (our 7th) and blessed with 11 days of dry, mostly sunny weather. First visit to the Himalayan Garden & Sculpture Park made possible by the recently acquired Tramper (part of the outdoor mobility scheme). Well worth a visit. Thank you once again Diane & Andrew for accommodating our needs and always providing a warm welcome and being the perfect hosts. We look forward to our planned visit next September (or hopefully before!).
Another wonderful stay at The Dairy and the glorious weather has been a very special added touch. Diane and Andrew's garden looking absolutely stunning even this early in the year. Did all our usual things yet we never run out of things to do. Capped off our stay with an evening meeting at Ripon races, a very pretty little racecourse. Thank you Diane, Andrew, Rachel and all the other who contribute to making the Cottage in the Dales such a perfect holiday destination that always manages to surpass expectations. We look forward to returning.
Thank you Andrew and Diane for another lovely stay in the Dales. Looking forward to seeing you August 2026.
Another perfect stay - nothing disappoints, everything so well thought out. We've enjoyed some mixed weather, plenty of sunshine. The garden is wonderful to sit, reflect and plan. Looking forward to our next visit. Thank you Diane and Andrew.
Can only echo the previous comment, except we only had a 4 day stay. Must stay longer next time. So wonderful here.
Another fabulous stay at The Dairy. 10 days of relaxing in a beautiful cottage that now feels like home. Thanks again to Diane and Andrew for making us feel so welcome. See you in 2026.
We have had a wonderful few days at The Dairy and have really appreciated the quality and comfort of this amazing cottage. The garden is a haven of peace and tranquility. Thank you so much Diane and Andrew. We are looking forward to returning in September.
A very short break but well worth the journey. Everything here in the cottage, grounds and surrounding area are as wonderful as always. Looking forward to our next visit in November and the different season. It has been a treat to see the Dales wake up from winter. See you soon.
Another fabulous stay at The Dairy. Had to return for our fourth stay and to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Thank you for the welcoming pack and home made bread. Weather mixed but we enjoyed every day - local walks, visited Kiplin Hall and Gardens, Northallerton, Mainsgill Farmshop for lunch. Visited Stone House Hotel, Hawes and Wensleydale Heifer for evening meal. This is one of our favourite places. Already booked for next year. Thank you so much again to Diane and Andrew.
We’ve had a womderful relaxing time. We love The Dairy, it’s beautiful. You’ve thought of everything. It’s so cosy and comfortable. Despite the cold & damp weather we have managed to get out and see a lot. Leyburn & Grassington have many coffee shops & pubs. Tennants is brilliant & Chambers in Leyburn too. The Stripey Badger cafe & Devonshire Arms in Grassington featured in All Creatures Great & Small, offered a warm welcome as well. Food was very good. Great to see snow on Buttertubs. The Farmers Arms at Muker was very good for food & very friendly. For anyone who knits, the Wensleydale Longwool Shop in Kelberdale Court, just off the Market Place, Leyburn, is amazing. Lots of gifts & beautiful knitted garments knitted by a team of 12 knitters. Check the opening hours though. A large range of wool for sale too. Thank you very much Diane, Andrew & Rachel for another wonderful stay. See you soon!
Our first stay in The Dairy as we usually stay in The Byre, but definitely were not disappointed. Everything is just as fabulous as we have come to expect from Diane and Andrew. Thank you once again for a great few days. See you soon.
(poem) Another Christmas and New Year, happily spent with much good cheer. Waking up to see the snowfall, on Christmas Day, there was none at all. Walks in the sunshine, admiring the view, Being blown off our feet in Leyburn too! We had our share of wind and rain, but snug in The Dairy we never complain. We're always grateful to be here, especially at this time of year. Thanks for your company and all you do, to make Christmas special and New Year too....until Christmas 2025, take care of yourselves.
Had the most amazing first stay here! Wonderful place and Diane is so helpful. The Dairy's accessible features have been perfect for Rob's needs (he has MS), yet it has been so beautifully converted. You would never think there was so much accessibility - nothing clinical or medical here! The decorations for Christmas were the perfect finishing touch. Had a wonderful meal at the Wensleydale Heifer, who were so welcoming and friendly (not the toilets however are not easily accessible). We are already planning our next stay! Thank you so much Diane for everything you have done.
